New shows come out frequently throughout the year, each one bringing a new plot or sometimes it can be the sequel to one of your favorite shows. There is something about every show that catches your attention and makes you a part of it, feeling every emotion and enjoying every second that passes by.

One show in particular,  “Voltron Legendary Defender” is about Shiro, Lance, Keith, Pidge, and Hunk, the five Paladins of Voltron. Their adventures start in earth, but soon move locations to another planet light years away in a blue lion. There, they meet the princess of the Altean world, Princess Allura and her assistant, Coran. The group is told of the greatest thing that can possibly save the universe from destruction, Voltron. The five Paladins begin defending planets and taking back lost territory from Zarkon, a former evil-turned Paladin. Zarkon plans to capture the lions, especially the Black Lion, since they are the only thing that can defeat him. During their battles and time together, the team find out more about each other and along with that, trouble. Zarkon’s son, Prince Lotor, poses as a new threat to Voltron.

“Voltron Legendary Defender” gives you a whole rollercoaster of emotions which can range from surprise to happiness to the blessed feeling of relief. The characters in the show have personalities you can relate to and will have you laugh every minute with their quirky selves, but there can be some times with rushes of adrenaline or a jaw-dropping moments.

Although the show can be called “wannabe Transformers,” it has a totally different kind of mechanical machines, technology  and characters. The show currently has 4 seasons and a new one comes out in March. “Voltron Legendary Defender” is watchable on Netflix.
