JV Football Goes Undefeated

For the first time a Rancho Dominguez Preparatory School team, has achieved the great feat of having a perfect season, without any losses or draws throughout the the pre-seasonregular season. The Rancho Dominguez Lobos Junior Varsity football team went undefeated something which has eluded all other sports teams in RDPS history, over the past five years that sports have been active.

The 2015-2016 Junior Varsity football team was coached by Michael Dempster, a social studies/history teacher here at Rancho Dominguez and Coach Myron Ashley. The team went an unprecedented 10-0 in route to a perfect season full of dominance on both side of the ball offense and defense.

The Junior Varsity football team is mostly made up of sophomore players from the Class of 2019 and a small amount of juniors and freshman. Their most impressive win came against Angelou, in which the JV Lobos were able to halt the Angelou Wolfpack with an authoritative score of 62-0.

Finally, the success of the JV football team means the prospect for next years varsity team is very high it’s going into a major overhaul which, leading into next season could replicate into similiar success.
