THE LOOP: Handcrafted Churros is a newly opened dessert hot spot in Westminster. Their grand opening was early in the summer. Customers are able to pick either a regular churro with a dipping sauce, a glazed churro, or a churro in a vanilla soft served ice cream cup. They also sell tea and coffee which comes in a plastic bottle or a special bottle for an extra charge.

THE LOOP is located in Little Saigon of Westminster, about 25-30 minutes away. When we arrived, there was already a line forming out the door around the corner just for their churros. The line looked really long but their service was quick and efficient. Once we entered the door, there was a selfie machine towards the left. We took a selfie to pass the time while waiting in line. The place was packed with so many churro craving people that some people were even waiting outside for their orders. The first thing we noticed was the grass wall on the right with a quote “Life is sweet.” Also on one of their walls is their logo (their brand name) where many people were taking pictures in front of with their churros.

When we ordered, we were greeted politely and asked about our day. We both got a chilled churro. Jowell bought a Caramel Pop which came with caramel drizzle and caramel popcorn on the soft serve. The caramel popcorn was not very delicious, it tasted a little stale but overall it was quite good. He rates his order 8/10. Fatima purchased a regular chilled churro with a captain crunch topping. There was no specific name since it wasn’t one of the choices on the menu. It was scrumptious and it was something she would try again. She rates her order 9/10. Our churros were regular churros that wasn’t glazed with their frosting. If we were to get them glazed, it would cost an extra 50 cents. A regular chilled churro is $5.50 whereas a regular glazed churro is $4.50, and the regular churro with a dipping sauce is $3.50. Their drinks were $3.50 in a regular plastic cup but for $1.50 more, it comes in a special bottle.

Next time, we would like to try the churros glazed with the soft serve vanilla ice cream with an extra topping. THE LOOP is definitely something we’d like to go loopy for. Overall, we both came to the agreement of rating it 8/10, only because the line was so long.
