Punch The Gods

Nothing is more off-putting than Superman becoming a dictator, all in the attempt to keep world peace by hunting down and slaughtering every villain that he and his new empire could find. For those who don’t know the story or the lore of this series, a basic rundown is needed.
In this world, Superman obtains a warped sense of justice after The Joker tricked Superman into killing Lois Lane who was pregnant with his child along with thousands of innocent civilians in the process by failing to prevent a nuke from going off. Superman then proceeds to kill The Joker and the established new government by forcefully taking control of the planet and naming himself the High Councilor. He then starts to actively kill any hero/villain who opposes him and his tyrannical empire. While in the background Batman is hiding in the shadows organizing an insurgency to oppose Superman. Which then begins to involve other dimensions and timelines which the heroes and villains of these separate dimensions will
band together to stop Superman and his regime.
Injustice 2 will continue the storyline established in Injustice: Gods Among Us. The story takes place five years after the defeat of High Councilor Superman, Batman and his insurgency attempt to piece society back together while struggling against the remnants of Superman’s regime who seek to restore his rule. Meanwhile, a shady new group, known as “The Society,” emerges and makes plans for world domination, eliminating any heroes that stand in their way. Several of his allies are either victims of or collaborators with, Superman’s failed regime. Batman is forced to form a new team of superheroes to combat an invading Brainiac, who puts Earth’s entire existence at risk. Injustice 2 like its predecessor is a fighting game developed by the same people who make the Mortal Kombat games. As far as gameplay goes Injustice 2 keeps a lot of the same gameplay mechanics from Injustice: Gods Among Us, including environment interaction, stage transitions, clashes, and character traits. While at the same time new elements have been added to Injustice 2 introducing a loot-dropping system, known as the “Gear System”, which offers character-specific costume pieces and equipment with status-altering effects. The Gear System uses RPGlike mechanics to reward players with loot after every match. With each loot drop, players earn gear that allows them to customize the look of their characters and strengthen their abilities, such as increasing their strength, speed, defense, health, or unlocking new moves.
Injustice 2 currently has no rating but is scheduled for release on May 16, 2017, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
