On February 21, 2025 a group of 89 kids, and 5 adults went to an attraction in Buena park called Medieval times. Medieval times is an attraction with a dinner and tournament, there are 10 locations all in the U.S except one which is Canada, the locations are built as replicas of 11th century castles.
Teacher of Rancho Dominguez Preparatory School Mr Trippe was at Medieval Times.
Mr Trippe really enjoyed the food. He thought the food was great.
“The whole performance was exciting. I loved the soup really tasty the seasoning on chicken was good food was a little dry but it was still good the garlic bread was really good corn was a little over cook that was my least favorite food the potato had good seasoning I’m not a big potato fan I like tater tots the potato was okay the chicken was a little dry but tasty ha good seasoning.”
Mr Trippe loved the pan on the hole and loved the horses. Mr Trippe thinks they are cool, that night was my favorite night.
“My Favorite knight was the green knight. I was sitting in the black and white area but like the green knight I was the only green knight fan in that area.”
The food that they serve includes tomato bisque and roasted garlic bread for appetite, chicken, roasted herb potato, and corn for the main course. Dessert is a small pastry that is filled with what I suppose is vanilla filling, and topped off with chocolate sauce.
The first event in the show introduces all the Knights, they are Black and White Knights, Yellow and Red Knights, Blue Knights, Red Knights, and Green Knights.
The second event is a show where a falcon takes flight, it was pretty cool to see such an amazing bird fly over the audience.
Yoliet Bueno 8th grade is a student at Rancho Dominguez Preparatory School and went to Medieval Times. Yoliet did not like the food at Medieval Times.
“The food was nasty. I did not like it at all. Yoliet was confused in the first event and then I understood what was happening in the other events.
The third event is the first jousting event, it doesn’t have any fighting, rather, it has the Knights jousting for rings, the Knight must catch the ring with the point of their jousting stick, after all the knights complete it, they go up to the King and Queen to retrieve a bouquet of flowers after that, they throw the flowers to their respective team.
The third event is where a horse comes out, then its handler comes out, but the handler is not on the horse, the handler is standing on the ground instead, the handler uses a stick that bends to make the horse do a bunch of tricks.
The last event is a fight, the knights start jousting each other and don’t stop until their shield breaks, or they are knocked off their horse, then they start fighting with each other with sparks flying everywhere and different types of weapons, the fight does not end until one of the knights lands a strike that is counted as fatal.
Honorable mention, the Blue Knight was offering to help the Red Knight after he struck him down, so the Red Knight accepted his help but then the Red Knight betrayed the Blue Knight.
