Don’t know what to do for the holidays? Here are some events around our area to help get an idea of what to do!
L.A. Zoo Lights – The LA Zoo is staying open after dark most nights through January during this delightful new take on its light up holiday tradition. The event’s “Animal Glow” edition has gone all out on its oversized animal shaped lanterns and is a colorful charming trail at the LA Zoo.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – At Universal Studios the Harry Potter themed land has been all decked out with Holiday Decorations such as lights and wreaths along the snow capped roof lines Hogsmeade Village and surrounded by a lot of wintry goodies in the gift shops. There is also a seven minute projection show that illuminates the Hogwarts castle with dancing lanterns, colorful banners and a christmas tree.
Enchanted Forest of Light – The enchanted forest is abound across the 10 or so illuminated installations in Descanso Gardens Holiday Tradition. The botanical gardens nighttime experience has a lot of art installations with atmospheric, luminescent forests all against a background of shimmery sound effects.
LA Holiday Celebration – At Dorthy Chandler Pavilion you can see LAs biggest Holiday show, this year being the 65th year. It includes over 20 choirs assembling together and dance troupes from all over the city. The performance runs from 3pm – 6pm and guests are encouraged to come and go as they please. This is a free event.
Holiday Ice Skating Rink Pershing Square – If you want to get into the winter spirit Ice Skating is a perfect way to go right in the midst of Downtown Skyscrapers.
