Middle and high school are, arguably, the most important academic terms. You may think that school isn’t entirely necessary but, if you do go to college, school will be your most powerful tool. Instead of dreading your time now, think of this as preparation for your future. Speaking of your preparation for your future you can join in on Mrs. Trolesi’s college readiness program on Thursdays after school, in the library. Upgrade your education and go to college.
“The students have been surprised to see their grade point average. They also learn the requirements for the schools they wanna get into and even the schools available to them,” Mrs. Trolesi explained.
There are so many benefits to college and so many benefits to preparing for it. This program is even available to middle schoolers. It’s better to get as much experience and training as soon as you can. Who knows, maybe you could get a scholarship in middle school.
“It benefits them by showing the importance of studying during college. The students just learned how to calculate their GPA,” Trolesi explained.
It’s not too late to join this program either. Please feel free to ask Mrs. Trolesi any questions you have about joining the program. Trolesi makes a point to teach all students about how to get into college because of her own experience with it.
“I have a daughter in college right now and I’ve seen all the struggles she went through when deciding upon a college,” Trolesi stated.
Though it did play a big role in Trolesi’s intentions, her motivation to start these classes didn’t only come from her own daughter’s challenges.
“A lot of kids don’t know how to get scholarships or funding,” Trolesi stated.
This could also be an opportunity to make friends. A lot of times, it’ll help to work together if you’re trying to make friends. No matter how you look at it, you’re gonna come out with something if you join this program, so why waste the opportunity? College is not mandatory, only encouraged. This program is definitely more encouragement. Remember, these classes take place on Thursdays, in the library, after school. Go, Lobos!
