Welcome to Rancho Dominguez, Ms. Flores. Ms. Flores is a new teacher here at Rancho Dominguez; she took over Ms. Bacus’ spot because Ms. Bacus took over for the other Ms. Flores who sadly left us to take a position at another school.
“I really like teaching here. It is a really nice school and there are a lot of helpful other teachers, and also the students are wonderful,” Ms. Flores said.
It seems like Ms. Flores is loving the school already and also likes how there are a lot of helpful people around the school.
“I applied and saw the job on the LAUSD website so that’s how I found out about this job,” Flores said.
“I always knew I wanted to be a teacher because when I was younger my parents did not speak English. So every day when I would come home from school I would grab whatever homework I would receive and I would sit there on the living room and teach them what I learn, but they did not understand what I was say because they did not speak English. But ever since then I knew I wanted to become a teacher,” Ms. Flores said.
Ms. Flores found out about this job on the LAUSD website and applied, but also after she would teach her parents as a child she knew that she wanted to become a teacher.
“I plan to stay here at Rancho Dominguez until I retire, so a long long time,” Ms. Flores said.
Ms. Flores wants to stay here with us at Rancho until she retires, but she also has a lot of hobbies.
“On my free time I love to cook; I love to eat, read, and I also love to go shopping and spending my money,” Ms. Flores said.
On her free time Ms. Flores likes to do a lot of things, but she also has simple expectations for her students..
“My students should expect that I want everybody to try their best, and when they walk through my door they need to be prepared to learn and try their best,” Ms. Flores said.
All Ms. Flores wants her new student to expect from her when they walk into her class is to be ready and do their best.
