As the Bob Marley movie has been released, it has become the most popular movie to see. Throughout the movie, Marley walks through the trials and journeys he has experienced to show the people how he and the crew have progressed throughout the years. He focuses on the significance of reggae, expressing the heart, and sensation he feels through music. Bob Marley has become one of the top reggae artists to this day, and with the honor of the movie being produced they focus a lot on the variety of milestones of his journey to making music.
Throughout Marley’s journey of producing music, he not only feels the heart of the tunes but the vibe and fun; he enjoys jamming out to his music and other music as well. Although Marley comes across hardships, his solution to them was to sing and make music little by little. He has found positivity and sensation in music despite everything that went on around him in the world. Marley had also kept an active lifestyle by going on runs in the morning, playing soccer, overall just trying to stay moving and productive. And his main message to the world was to have an impact with reggae music. He sang with his crew and his wife who was also one of their backup singers.
Although the chemistry between them was strong, the two had also came across situations of their own and both had traumas in their past. But they remained together through it all. They lived along side their kids, even the ones that we’re not his wife’s kids. In the end, Bob Marley and the Wailers have brought the impact of reggae music worldwide and it became a top genre of music to this day, and they made everyone hear their story and feel the sensation and enjoyment of reggae.
Some things I enjoyed about this movies were the series of events in the movie. One of several things that stood out to me was how no matter what Bob Marley and the Wailers made good music; he showed that it came with trials of struggles and some good parts of the journey. For example, Marley had hurt his foot during soccer, and as they continued on tour it had started to take a toll on him and his career. And eventually he found out he had melanoma which was a kind of skin cancer. It showed how much love Marley had for reggae and regardless of the pain he knew he was going through, it was all heart. Another thing I liked about the movie was the chemistry with the crew and the boss who Marley was traveling with. Although there were times where they fell short, they had always uplifted each other and kept the energy and momentum going to finish the tour. And with that, they made themselves known to the world and what reggae music is really about.
I would definitely recommend this movie to those who love reggae music, or those who are familiar with it. And even for those who may not be interested in it, or may not like it. It is something I recommend big time. And overall, I would say this movie is amazing all around. It is rated PG-13 due to the smoking, some violence, as well as strong use of brief strong language, which would be something to look out for, if you plan on watching it. You can watch the movie Bob Marley: One Love at any theater near you.
