Dimas Rivas Jr. is a 7th grade student who attends Rancho Dominguez. Rivas has many different and unique interests just like many other kids do. Some of his hobbies include playing music and also playing sports.
Rivas is into many different kinds of sports and musical genres, but most of all, his love for band and baseball.
“I like to play baseball and I also like to play in the school’s band. I like playing the drums when I play in the band,” Rivas said.
There are many different reasons why anyone starts to do their hobbies, but this is the main reason why Rivas chose to do these activities: “I started playing baseball because my dad had gotten me into the sport; he had wanted me to play.”
Rivas also had a similar reason for getting into playing in the school’s band.
“I played in the school’s band because I like playing the drums and my brother had gotten me into playing the drums,” he said as the main reasons why Rivas got into playing in the band.
When asked how he feels about playing baseball he responded with, “I like playing baseball because it gives me a good way to work out and a way to make friends.” When asked the same question about playing in the band, he said, “I like band because I like to play instruments, and playing in the band lets me play with my friends too.”
One goal Rivas is currently trying to accomplish at the moment is saving enough of his money so that he can buy some new baseball equipment. Another big goal that Rivas is trying to fulfill is hitting a home run when playing on his baseball team, The Pirates.
Rivas, like many other kids in the school, likes to listen to music, specifically by Kanye West. One of Rivas’s favorite songs to listen to is “Runaway” by Kanye West. Another song Rivas likes to listen to is “Father Stretch My Hands” by Kanye West.
