BTS: The Hottest band in Kpop

Bangtan Sonyeondan, commonly known as BTS or Beyond the Scene, is a Kpop group consisting of seven members that is gaining popularity all over the world. The group consists of two main lines: the rap line which consists of members Rap Monster, Suga, and J-Hope and the vocal line which consists of members Jin, Jungkook, V, and Jimin. These seven male idols are quickly capturing the attention of not only fans but other celebrities as well.
BTS was formed by Big Hit Entertainment and debuted June 12, 2013 with their song “No More Dream”. This idol group along with their fans, ARMY (Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth), have been spreading rapidly to the west.
This idol group is known for having inspirational and meaningful songs. Aside from their music the group is also known for their amazing dance moves, vocals and rap, music videos, and of course their personalities. BTS is also known for its large online fanbase on social media platforms.
Despite the language barrier between BTS, they work hard together to get through it. BTS’s leader, Rap Monster who is a fluent English speaker, helps international fans with translations. The other members also continue to work hard in improving their English in hopes of being able to communicate better with their fans.
Many people were exposed to BTS and their music after their Top Social Artist Award win at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Not only that, but that was the first award to ever be won by a Kpop group in the west. After that event BTS were not only recognized but were also seen hanging out with many western artists from The Chainsmokers to Ansel Elgort and a few others.
BTS’ comeback was dated for September 18, 2017 and has left ARMY’s in a frenzy. Their comeback immediately proved to be astonishing, their DNA music video becoming the fastest Kpop group music video to hit 10 million views in a short amount of time. Taking the world by storm their music video could be found trending #1 on YouTube for a period of time. 15 hours after their music video had been released, BTS could be found trending #2 on Youtube with 16 million views and 1 million likes on their music video. Songs to listen to are “DNA,” “Best of Me,” and “Dope.”
