Keeping up with this robbery has never been more emotional for the Kardashians. In September, Kanye West gifted his wife, Kim Kardashian, a 20 karat ring. Kim posted the ring on her Instagram, which caught the eye of the robbers. In early October, Kendall Jenner, Kim, and Kourtney Kardashian went to Paris, France for Kanye’s concert. On the third of October, Kim was held at gunpoint and robbed in her hotel while Kourtney and Kendall were out in town.

The robbers were dressed up as policemen as they walked into the hotel. They took the concierge and brought him to Kim’s room. When Kim opened the door, she was confused and their language barrier made it a little bit harder for her to understand. Kim was handcuffed and brought to the bathroom. At first, the robbers were only interested in her money and her ring, which is worth 4.5 million dollars. They were still asking for more money, however, the concierge told the robbers she did not have a lot of cash on her. Therefore, the robbers went for the next best thing, her jewelry box. They stuffed the jewelry in their bags but left it open as they fled the crime scene.

Since their bags were open, some of the jewelry fell out and was able to get back to Kim. The next day, she returned home to California and to this day the robbery was not solved and is still an ongoing investigation. Since that day, Kourtney has been feeling guilty. She moved in with Kim to comfort her with her traumatizing experience. Kourtney rearranged Kim’s schedules, helped look after her kids, and also stayed overnight while Kanye’s away on tour.

This robbery was a serious offense. Kim is just like anyone else: human. People need to realize that celebrities also have bad moments. Everyone who was making fun of Kim should stop because it could’ve happened to anyone you know or idolized. Not only is this hard for the Kardashian family but it’s also hard on her fans who love and support her.
