Ever walk into a store with Halloween decorations in every aisle? And then after that, there are Christmas decorations that light up the entire store. You may often find yourself thinking: what happened to Thanksgiving? Why are there no decorations for Thanksgiving. There has only been a lot of Halloween and Christmas items up for display, they get moredecorations and recognition rather than Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving began when the pilgrims made a feast giving thanks for a successful growing season and unfortunately, no Indians were involved. Thanksgiving is one of the most important holidays along with Easter, and all the other popular holidays that are celebrated. Sadly, it is skipped every year when Halloween
and Christmas are around the corner. It’s a shame, actually, that people don’t appreciate Thanksgiving, they just say something nice, eat the turkey, and bam Christmas and shopping for Black Friday invades your mind. Black Friday is presumably more important to people since they decide to camp outside of stores to
buy things in two days or so because of the good deals.
Radio stations are also the same. When it’s the beginning of October, they announced Halloween, October deals and such, but when November rolls around, Christmas and Black
Friday start.

Thanksgiving used to be a special day that was recognized, where you could spend the day with loved ones and family members and give thanks to the good things in life. Now people don’t pay attention to it, instead they look
forward to Halloween, Black Friday and other sales.
Households are also skipping the Thanksgiving cheer. Whenever you pass by a house, Halloween decorations are on doors and in front yards. Then when Halloween passes,
Christmas immediately comes next, with Christmas trees, blinding lights and fake snowmen. There is literally no support for Thanksgiving.
In Thanksgiving, there is always plenty of food and perhaps prayers are made. After that, the feast begins. Family chatter and pleasant surprises take hold of the table. At last the talking dies down and people leave one by one, and soon you are left with the feeling of happiness. People are forgetting how this holiday brings family closer, and not to
mention the large amounts of food that is present. It would be nice if more people can pay more attention to Thanksgiving and not immediately go straight into Christmas and Black Friday sales.
