Boy’s Soccer

The Lobos Boy’s soccer team is preparing for their upcoming season, which will start in December and end in February.. The boys soccer team has been practicing since October and they hope for a better season than last year’s season. Even though our soccer team wasn’t very successful last season, they have been working hard and are more dedicated to going to practice so that they won’t make the same mistakes as they dilast year.

“The team is looking good this year, we are working hard but we really need to have ball control. But overall, the team is looking better than last year and I hope we have a great season this year.” says Mario Serrano, Senior.

Their first preseason game is November 4, against Compton High and they look to see what they can do during the game and what they can improve to make the season great this

Girls Soccer

The Lobos girls soccer team is also getting set for the upcoming season. Just a few weeks ago they had a very successful scrimmage against Compton High, in which they had tied against them 2-2.

“I’ve been trying to attend practice a lot more,” says Yisel Maya,Junior.

”Attending practice more frequently will help me get conditioned to the sport.”

The soccer team is also trying to create a more consistent chemistry or teamwork. The chemistry is good, but
they know that they can do better.

“We have many new members, so this year will be pretty interesting” says Jacky Gomez, Junior.

“ When the seniors leave though I feel that the chemistry is not as strong with new members and different cliques form between the new members.”

Overall, they expect a better season than last year with the new line of members, but there is certainly a competetitive edge this year.
